The directions on a compass are North, south, east and west.
The jobs compasses do is to help miners navigate though the darkness.
they also do direct you to your your home or civilisation.
and it does guide them to land or sea.
How does a compass work?. if you have a compass just find where the red and black/white needle and using the dial turn it N to the red side and S to the white/black side and then yo have found north and south
